  • On completion of the entry of the Online Application, applicants shall click on the “Preview Your Application Form” button to verify the accuracy of their entries. If they find any incorrect entries then they shall click on “Edit” button to correct the same. If they find that all the entries made by them are correct then they shall click on the “Submit Application” button to finally submit the Online Application. Applicants must note that Online Applications once submitted by them, they shall not be able to make any further changes in any of the data entered by them under any circumstances.
  • Once the “Apply Now” link gets activated, applicants shall be able to click on this links to open the Online Application Form to make and save the required entries under different applicable Tabs shown therein.
  • Applicants exempted from payment of Examination Fee, shall not get the “Pay Online” link. For these applicants “Apply Now” link will get activated immediately after completion of “Provide Document Details”.
  • In case of unsuccessful/failed online payment/s, a reconciliation is made from the Treasury which may take around 3 to 4 working days to confirm the receipt of such unsuccessful/failed online payment/s. On confirmation of receipt of such unsuccessful/failed online payment/s the link “Apply Now” link shall automatically get activated.
  • In case of unsuccessful/failed online payment/s, even though the payment link appear active, to save applicants from making multiple payments, applicants are being alerted with a message to get the status of their earlier failed/unsuccessful payment/s confirmed from the treasury and the respective banks/financial institutions as any such realized payments are nonrefundable under any circumstances once paid and realized.
  • For applicants liable to pay Examination Fee, the link “Apply Now” will become active only after successful receipt of the online payment of Examination Fee.
  • On successful completion of the online payment, a Payment Receipt/e-Challan may be generated for the applicants for future reference.
  • Fill in the required details carefully to make online payment of applicable Examination Fee.
  • For making online payment, applicants shall use the Debit Card/Credit Card /Net Banking facilities and other financial instruments enlisted in the Payment Page/Gateway of the Odisha Government Treasury Portal.
  • On completion of “Provide Document Details” the applicants shall get “Pay Online” link, if the Examination Fee is payable by them. On getting this link they have to click on it to make Online Payment of applicable Examination Fee.
  • On completion of “Preview Registration” the applicants shall get the “Provide Document Details” link. On clicking this the applicants have to provide the details of HSC Certificate, Aadhaar Card, SC/ST/SEBC Certificates details (if willing to claim the reservation under the said category).
  • Applicants shall be able to view the abstract details of all the Posts for which they have Registered/Re-registered and come across a “Preview Registration” link. On clicking this the applicants shall get an additional opportunity to review their Registration/Re-registration and then they can edit it, if finds it incorrect or finally confirm it, if finds it correct. The applicants must note that once finally confirmed, they shall not be able to make any changes in the data provided in the Registration/Re-registration under any circumstances.
  • On completion of Registration applicants can login to their User account by clicking on the link “Login” on the Home Page of the OSSC’s Web portal by entering their Username and Password.
  • On completion of entries in the Registration/Re-registration Form applicants shall click on the “Preview Registration” button to verify the correctness of the entries made by them. If they notice any error, they shall rectify them by clicking the “Edit” button otherwise, if they find all entries to be correct then they shall click on the “Submit” button to finally submit the Registration/Re-registration and to generate printout of the Registration/Re-registration for future reference. Applicants shall keep in mind that once this form is submitted then they are not allowed to make any further changes in the data entered by them.
  • While Registering/Re-registering, applicants should upload their Full Specimen Signature and Left Thumb Impression, scanned in the format/s as specified above. Ensure that the uploaded signature and left thumb impression are clearly identifiable/visible, otherwise Registration/Re-registration and Application shall be liable for rejection.
  • On clicking “New user” applicants shall open a form for making registration for advertised post/s. In the Registration Form, applicants have to provide required details including their Email and Mobile/Cell Phone Number and verify their authenticity by providing OTP sent from the system.. In this Registration Form provisions have been given to applicants to create Username and Password of their choice which shall be later on used by them to access OSSC Web portal for making Online Application and for carrying out all other recruitment related activities. While filling this Registration Form, applicants should ensure that they have correctly entered their name as per their HSC Certificate. Care should be taken to create Username so that it must contain at least one capital letter, one small letter and one number and must be within 8 to 15 characters.
  • On clicking “Registered user”, applicants shall be taken to the Login Page wherein they shall be asked to enter their Username and Password to login to their Account. Successfully logged in applicants shall have to click on the “Re-registration” link to open a form for re-registering for new advertised post/s.
  • On clicking “New User” or “Registered User” instructions for filling up Online Registration/Re-Registration and Application forms shall appear on the computer screen which the applicants should read carefully before proceeding further.
  • An applicant who had earlier made any Registration for any post and who is possessing a “Registration Number” and User Name/ID, earlier assigned by the Commission, has to make a Re-registration by logging in to the Commission Web Portal (www.ossc.gov.in) by clicking on the “Registered User” button on this screen.
  • An applicant who is applying for the very first time for a post in the Commission and who is not possessing a “Registration Number” and User Name/ID, earlier assigned by the Commission, has to make a Registration by clicking on “New User” button shown on this screen.
  • On clicking “APPLY ONLINE”, details of the advertised posts, for which online applications have been called for, shall appear on the screen.
  • To Register/Re-register and Apply for an advertised post, eligible applicants have to click on “APPLY ONLINE” button appearing at the top right side of the OSSC Home page.
  • Applicants shall open a browser of their preference, like Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer etc. and type the URL “www.ossc.gov.in” to open the OSSC Web Portal Home Page.

2) Instructions for making On-line Registration/Re-registration and Application:

  • Applicants must possess and maintain their own personal E-mail ID and Mobile/Cell Number provided by them in Registration/Re-registration till the completion of the recruitment process for receiving all important communication like Activation Key and various Alerts from the OSSC Web portal. Under no circumstance, an Applicant should share his/her E-mail ID and Mobile/Cell Number with any other person.
  • The Full Specimen Signature, Left Thumb Impression, Colored Photograph scanned for uploading must be clearly identifiable/visible, otherwise the Registration/Re-registration and Application shall be liable to rejection and no correspondence on this account shall be made or entertained.
  • In addition, they shall keep ready scanned copy of recent Passport size Colored Photograph, scanned in the “jpg” format between the ranges of 20 Kbs to 100 Kbs for uploading during the Online Application.
  • Applicants shall keep their Certificates and Mark Sheets ready for filling in the details of the educational qualifications during Online Application.
  • To make online payment of Examination Fee, applicants shall keep their Debit /Credit Card/s or Net Banking facilities ready.
  • All applicants other than those belonging to SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities (whose permanent disability is 40% and more) categories have to make online Payment of Examination Fee as indicated in the advertisement.
  • Applicants claiming reservations under SC/ST/SEBC Category should keep the Certificates ready with them for entering the details.
  • To enter Aadhaar Card No. applicants should keep their Aadhaar Card with them.
  • To enter HSC Certificate details the applicants should keep their HSC Certificate with them.
  • Full Specimen Signature and the Left Thumb impression of the Applicants, scanned in “jpg” format between the ranges of 20 KB to 50 KB shall be kept handy for uploading during Registration/Re-registration for any post.
  • Email and Mobile/Cell Phone Number once verified and submitted by applicants for registering/registering for an advertised post must be maintained till completion of the recruitment.
  • Applicants must possess and maintain an Email and Mobile/Cell Phone Number for accessing the OSSC Web portal and to make Online Registration/Re-registration and Application therein.

1) Pre-Requisites for Registration/Re-registration and Online Application :

  • On clicking “New User” or “Registered User” instructions for filling up Online Registration/Re-Registration and Application forms shall appear on the computer screen and are detailed below. These Instructions are to be read carefully before proceeding for filling up the Online Registration/Re-registration and Application forms.
  • An applicant who had earlier made any Registration for any post and who is possessing a “Registration Number” and Username, earlier assigned by the Commission, has to make a Re-registration by logging in to the Commission Web Portal (www.ossc.gov.in) by clicking on the “Registered User” button on this screen.
  • An applicant who is applying for the very first time for a post in the Commission and who is not possessing a “Registration Number” and Username, earlier assigned by the Commission, has to make a Registration by clicking on “New User” button shown on this screen.
  • The details of the advertised posts for which online applications have been called for shall appear on the screen.
  • To Register/Re-register and Apply for an advertised post, an eligible person has to click on “APPLY ONLINE” button in the Home Page of the Commission Web portal (www.ossc.gov.in).
